Prof. Maria Ganzha

Prof. Maria Ganzha Warsaw University of Technology

Maria Ganzha is an Associate Professor in the Warsaw University of Technology (Warsaw, Poland). She got an MS and a PhD degrees in mathematics from the Moscow State University, Russia, and a Doctor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Polish Academy of Sciences. Maria has published closed to 200 research papers, is on editorial boards of 5 journals and a book series, and was invited to program committees of more than 250 conferences. She is also the Principal Investigator, of the SRIPAS team, in the INTER-IoT project. Here, her team is responsible for use of semantic technologies in the context of interoperability of IoT platforms.


Prof. Rajkumar Buyya

Prof. Rajkumar BuyyaUniversity of Melbourne

Dr. Rajkumar Buyya is a Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor and Director of the Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems (CLOUDS) Laboratory at the University of Melbourne, Australia. he is also serving as the founding CEO of Manjrasoft Pty Ltd., a spin-off company of the university, commercialising its innovations in Cloud Computing. He served as a Future Fellow of the Australian Research Council during 2012 until 2016. He received B.E and M.E in Computer Science and Engineering from Mysore and Bangladesh Universities in 1992 and 1995 respectively; and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia in 2002. He received "Research Excellence Awards" from the University of Melbourne for productive and quality research in computer science and software engineering in 2005 and 2008. He is one of the highly cited authors in computer science and software engineering worldwide (h-index=123, g-index=271, and 79,000+ citations). He served as the founding Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing (TCC), Dr. Buyya is recognized as a "Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher" for three consecutive years since 2016, a Fellow of IEEE and Scopus Researcher of the Year 2017 with Excellence in Innovative Research Award by Elsevier for his outstanding contributions to cloud computing.


Prof-Paweł-Gepner

Prof. Paweł Gepner Intel, France, Platform Architect focused on High Performance Computing

Pawel Gepner is a graduate in Pawel Gepner is a graduate in Computer Science and he holds master's and PhD degrees from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland. Pawel Gepner has written 50 technical papers on Computer Science and Technology. He is also a board member and technology advisor for many international scientific and commercial HPC projects. Pawel Gepner in his role as Platform Architect is to ensure customers of server and HPC products receive world-class technical service and support, technology training and other technology services. Pawel Gepner has joined Intel in 1996 as Field Application Engineer for Central and Eastern Europe. In 2001, Pawel Gepner became EMEA Architect focused on HPC area. He led couple of server development projects including first Fault Tolerance Systems based on IA-32 from Stratus Technology. He was responsible for driving Pentium III server project at IBM Development Center in Greenock. He also led the team of Intel architects that developed Bull's Itanium 2 system. He was also involved in Itanium 2 projects at Siemens Ag and Eriksson. Pawel Gepner led the development team for the first teraflop computing projects in EMEA and first Itanium 2 teraflop installations. He was driving many of the HPC projects including TASK, SKODA, VW, CERN, and many others. In addition to the Platform Architecture Specialist role he is also Intel Corporation spoke person responsible for communication with the press reg. technical and technology aspect of Intel's products and technology.

Experience in product development, hardware design, new product introduction, new factory start-up, operational excellence in manufacturing and test engineering, annual strategic planning, program management, supplier / subcontractor management, internal factory, outsourced factory in Malaysia / China, quality management, customer management, supply chain operations and efficiency / productivity improvement, and government relations.
